I'm finding that WD is more than fine, and if anything we now have a speed clear build that is faster (well at least movement speed wise) than Barbs or Vaulting DHs. So again, just play what you think looks like the most fun. Even if WD only hit GR 58 in season 4 while everyone is at 68 or even 90, it doesn't matter, because you are only competing against other witch doctors.
Just pick which one you think is the most fun. Since I just looked back up at the post and saw that you said solo play viability is your preferred way, then really it doesn't matter what class you pick. In groups, the DPS monk and support barb both look like a lot of fun, and I'm sure DHs will still be valued. Barbs and demon hunters also get nothing new in terms of solo content, except the cube. The hammer's IMO while a great throwback, look too clunky for d3's playstyle, and I haven't looked at the wizards revamped set much.
